Erik Wevers will return to the 40th Dakar Rally!

Erik Wevers is ready to return to Dakar! This time for his 4th Dakar Rally. Erik Wevers will drive the second BORGWARD BX7 DKR of the Borgward Dakar Team.

Wevers Sport (this year operating as the Borgward Dakar Team) was the best placed Dutch team of the 2017 Dakar. Last year Nicolas Fuchs became the best Latino debutant in the history of the Dakar Rally, finishing 12th overall in the Wevers Sport car.

This year Nicolas Fuchs and Erik Wevers will drive the two Borgward BX7 DKR cars of the Borgward Dakar Team. Priority driver Nicolas Fuchs will be supported by Erik Wevers throughout the event.

The results of last year and the great deal of experience Wevers Sport has achieved in the Dakar Rally and the world of rallying convinced Borgward to choose Wevers Sport as the team to develop their Borgward BX7 DKR. Borgward is convinced it has an exceptionally good and well-balanced driver pairing with Nicolas Fuchs and Erik Wevers.
